Active protection systems are widely used in the military, mostly to provide safety to armored fighting vehicles from enemy fire. They can be installed on tracked or wheeled armored fighting or logistics vehicles, combat helicopters, naval warfare ships, and other systems. Modular optoelectronic sensor systems, target acquisition systems, digital radar processors for target detection, and thermal imaging devices provide optimized field surveillance and combat by day/night or under poor visibility. Several countries are focusing on increasing their armored vehicle fleets owing to the rise in cross-border conflicts, which has directly led to the growth of the Active Protection System Industry.

headcanon that scorpius was a sick child and was in and out of hospital constantly, perhaps related to astoria's blood curse but not directly. his immune system isnt very strong, and everytime he gets sick they're terrified that it's the blood curse but also whatever else it could be, because it's always so sudden and so intense and they call healers over to the house who recommend this delirious feverish 4 year old is hospitalised immediately, and you'd think it'd get easier to some extent because they'd be used to it, but everytime they feel like this is it, this is the time he'll walk in to the hospital and not walk out again

With the season one reboot I've been seeing people talk about evil paper needing to be "less" problematic and I wanna say. some alters are very much Like That. seemingly comically evil to protect the system in some way. The writing of evil paper in s1 is definitely misguided and careless but erasing his "edge" and harmful behavior isn't the way to right the wrong.

Also the name evil paper is fine. You're free to personally dislike it but I have guys named devil and guilt in my head. Changing his name in the reboot also wouldn't be the right way to go about this

I don't remember the exact wording I wrote to the White House when I cussed out Biden for funding war crimes (2023) & the bill itself (2022) but I did list consequences I foresaw that are happening now, so suck to suck if nobody listened & are on the receiving end of massive hexes

Greetings Mutual, I saw this reddit post and thought of you. What is your opinion on Abrams-mounted CIWS as anti-drone defenses? Does not have to be the Phalanx as specified in the post Inquisitively, Bronzeageprolapse

I question the viability. However, it would be funny as all hell. I'd hate to clear the inevitable jam in a .22 phalanx, though.

Personally, I think that laser-based systems are where it's at, and that any CIWS system, regardless of caliber would need too much ammo to be viable.

I love my family and yes they’ve lived in Florida my entire life and have witnessed so many hurricanes but my god I wish they’d practice a little discernment - it’s a cat 5 going straight toward them. Helene was a three and did the utmost damage and here I am scratching my head like okay but you’ll sit out a cat 5 makes sense?!
